

About Mark Gardner, D.O.
Mark Gardner, DO, is an orthopaedic surgeon with UPMC Regional Orthopaedics, offering general orthopaedic surgery procedures and has a special interest in total joint arthroplasty and sports medicine.
Dr. Gardner primarily treats musculoskeletal conditions involving the shoulder, hip, and knee.
He currently holds the position of Orthopedic Surgery Program Lead for UPMC Regional Orthopaedics, as well as Medical Director and Designated Physician of the Total Joint Center of Excellence at UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson.
He is also the chair of orthopaedics at UPMC Horizon and Jameson. Dr. Gardner also serves as the orthopaedic surgery representative for Horizon and Jameson on the Professional Practice Expert Committee, as well as the UPMC Orthopedic Steering Committee and Medical Care Committee.
Outside of the offices, Dr. Gardner works as the team physician for Greenville Area High School.
Dr. Gardner graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and then went on to complete his residency at Humility of Mary Health Partners in Warren and Youngstown, Ohio.
He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He received his Bachelors of Health Science degree from Duquesne University as a physical therapy major.
